Welcome to our family.
“One expression of this attitude [of Jesus] is when we stop and give thanks to God before and after meals. I ask all believers to return to this beautiful and meaningful custom. That moment of blessing, however brief, reminds us of our dependence on God for life; it strengthens our feeling of gratitude for the gifts of creation; it acknowledges those who by their labours provide us with these goods; and it reaffirms our solidarity with those in greatest need.”
Pope Francis, Laudato Si', #227
The St. Bart Hospitality Ministry is called "New in the Pew". Participants in this ministry welcome newly-registered parishioners with a personal phone call in which we give them information about church and school programs, invite them to upcoming parish events, and encourage them to use St. Bart's website for further details about CYO, our Hispanic community, and St. Bartholomew School. We plan to meet the newly-registered parishioners at the mass of their choice to say hello and we invite them to become active and engaged in one of our many organizations or ministries. When time permits, we also invite them to meet other parishioners after the 8:30A.M. or 10:00 A.M. Masses for coffee and doughnuts. Finally, from time to time we are called upon to coordinate a special reception for a departing or an arriving priest or religious.
The rewards for participants in this ministry are bountiful but the time requirement is minimal -- only a few hours every four months. Bring your enthusiasm and dedication to reach out to newcomers.

Community Sunday: Meet other parishioners in the Parish Hall after the 8:30A.M. and 10:00 A.M. Masses each Sunday for fellowship over coffee and doughnuts. Please note that during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not currently meeting for coffee and doughnuts.
