Prayer Requests

During the COVID pandemic, kindly send your prayer requests in through this link.

St. Therese of Lisieux said that "prayer is a cry of the heart" to the Lord who offers himself as a companion through every human suffering. As his Body, his Church, the St. Bartholomew parish community welcomes the requests of parishioners and friends, and pledges to join in attention and intercession.

Have you noticed the List of Prayer Petitions located in the entrance way of the Church? The Prayer Group Ministry is a group of dedicated parishioners who lift up to God the prayer requests submitted. Currently the group is composed of approximately 20 individuals (mostly women, but men are welcome to participate).

The requests and concerns written in the Prayer Petition List reflect the heartfelt needs of many. While the petitions are individual in nature, they tend to be a microcosm of the needs of our larger community. Often requests are for those suffering with physical or emotional pain, individuals and families who are grieving, and people needing employment and financial security. Prayers are also often asked for family reconciliation, spiritual healing, and special needs. It is a comfort to those in need to know that they are not alone in seeking God’s help to allay life’s burdens.
